Dr. Amir Rouhani, M.D. Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine & Internal Medicine
Dr. Amir Rouhani is a dual board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine with over 15 years of experience in clinical care, medical leadership, and consulting. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed a prestigious combined Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine residency at UCLA/Olive View, where he also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Rouhani is a Health Sciences Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has served as core faculty with the UCLA–Olive View Emergency Medicine Residency Program. His leadership roles at Olive View–UCLA Medical Center have included Director of Critical Care, Director of Continuing Care, and Director of Simulation Education for the residency program. He has also chaired the hospital’s Code Blue/CPR and Sepsis Committees and served on its Bioethics Committee.
Dr. Rouhani’s academic focus includes simulation-based education, procedural skills training, and the use of virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) to enhance clinical decision-making and hands-on competency. He has led simulation programs within the UCLA–Olive View Emergency Medicine Residency and has been instrumental in developing curricula that integrate immersive technology with high-stakes clinical training. He also serves as an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor.
Through his professional corporation, Dr. Rouhani offers services in clinical care, medical directorship, healthcare consulting, and medicolegal services—including expert witness testimony.
